Steel Got It Yacht Description

1999 Viking 47 Convertible “Steel Got It”: When the 47’ Viking was introduced, she set a new benchmark for convertible Sport Fishers. Her combination of fishability, speed, efficiency, layout and quality were best in class. The 47 and subsequent models introduced by Viking Yachts began a revolution and eventual takeover of the sportfish market. To this day, the 47 model holds up remarkably well. This 1999 Viking 47 Convertible represents a tremendous value for fishermen and families looking to get as much boat for their money as possible. This 47’ Viking underwent a comprehensive refit in 2021 including topsides paint job, bottom strip, interior upgrades and much more! She has been family fished and cruised throughout south Florida and the Bahamas for most of her life. This 1999 47 Viking Convertible has been well cared for with meticulous maintenance records from the last two owners dating back almost 10 years. The time has come for another family or value-oriented fisherman to take over the helm of "Steel Got It". She is now being proudly offered for sale. Below please find a brief summary of some of her highlights followed by a descriptive walk though of her layout and features. Salon and Galley Main Deck
Facing forward in the cockpit the salon door is just off center to stbd. Upon entering you are greeted by a nice Amtico faux teak sole welcome pad. The rest of the salon has new grey carpet which was updated in 2021. The salon has a large open feel, with good lighting above and tons of natural light from the four large windows. Hunter Douglas blinds can soften the light and give you privacy when desired. The woodwork is a high gloss teak finish in keeping with everything you have come to expect from Viking Yachts. The décor and soft goods have been updated and are nautical in theme with a mostly beige and navy-blue color scheme. To port you have a large L-shaped beige ultra-leather sofa with storage beneath. There is a high gloss small molded in teak end table forward with a lamp on top and storage drawers beneath. Stbd side aft you have high gloss teak cabinetry that houses your AC DC electrical panels and a cabinet for Audio visual components.
The main deck layout is fantastic. Gone are the days of chopped up layouts, hard full bulkheads and sunken dark galleys detached from the salon. “Steel Got It” has a galley up arrangement portside just forward of the salon sofa. The bulkhead separating the two areas is waist height and mirrored for a larger deeper feel. Across from the galley to stbd is a 2021 re upholstered navy-blue ultra-leather dinette with refinished high gloss teak table. The seating has great storage beneath. The fwd bulkhead stbd side above the dinette has an updated flat screen TV with DVD player.
The galley features everything a shipboard gourmet would require, it includes the following:
-
Large peninsula style galley
-
Speckled beige Corian countertops with sea ledge on aft side
-
Deep sink
-
Tremendous storage
-
2021 Updated stand up Fridge/Freezer
-
Updated Sharp microwave convection oven
-
2 burner electric cook top with Corian counter insert
-
Amtico teak pattern vinyl flooring
Lower Accommodations
The centerline walkway between the galley and dinette will lead us down three stairs to the lower accommodations. All carpeting is new in 2021. Immediately to port we find a set of double doors that house the over under Kenmore washer dryer.
Just across the companionway to stbd is the guest stateroom. The soft goods and décor of the guest stateroom are nautical in theme and in keeping with the blue and beige color scheme seen throughout the rest of “Steel Got It”. Additional features of the guest stateroom include:
-
Bunk bed arrangement
-
Large cedar lined closet
-
Air conditioning
-
In stateroom access to a full guest head. The full guest head has a NEW Headhunter Royal Flush marine toilet, tile floor, stand up shower, mirrored medicine cabinet, sink with storage below and an overhead hatch/sky light
If we head back out into the companionway and continue forward, to stbd there is a day head access door to the guest head.
At the end of the companionway all the way forward we come to the master stateroom. The master stateroom arrangement has an island queen berth, good space, natural light, excellent storage and an en-suite head. Master stateroom highlights include:
-
High gloss teak wood work
-
Island queen berth with storage beneath

Two custom Blue Water Marine helm chairs provide pilot and co pilot seating with expansive L shaped seating fwd of the helm and a bench seat to port. Bridge cushions are new 2021 and white vinyl.
